Do you remember when the first cell phone came out? Or the first cell phone with a full keyboard went for sale? How about the first cell phone with internet or touch screen, or apps? The first MP3 player or first Ipod? After all these were created Apple came out with the Iphone which continues to be upgraded to more high tech versions everyday. There's no necessity for an individual computer, cell phone or ipod anymore because now you can get them all in one. So, now we have individuals who own a computer, cellphone, and Ipod, yet still buy the Iphone.
Why do individuals do this? Because it is handy, easy accessible to all needs, or because it is the latest trend? How many people do you see on their Iphones as you walk to class everyday or sit in class? It has become a huge trend in teens and even children of our time. But, do teens and especially children really need the easy access to the internet, their cell phone all the time. The Iphone is creating a loss of face to face interaction between teens and children. It is also creating a loss in the day to day activities teens and children should be experiencing during these times of their life. Instead of playing on the playground, doing outdoor activities, playing with toys, or engaging in sports children and teens would rather sit on their Iphones and listen to music, go on Facebook or Twitter, play on apps, or text or Skype their friends. So, is the Iphone really as essential and handy as it seems, or is it taking away a way of life for teens and children?
